Job Description:

The Role

Operations Management /Operational Effectiveness

Drive initiatives in the management team and the organization that contribute to long-term operational excellence.

Manage stakeholder relationships

Lead work transition activities for Information Security team

Lead process enhancement/continuous improvement projects by implementing GAP analysis, developing to-be processes and identifying training needs

Maintain effective governance, and compliance requirements of the organizations control frameworks

Oversee metrics to meet strategic objectives and monitor and evaluate performance of the team and services

Continuously review and establish a robust performance measurement structure

Capacity Planning

People Management / Development

Assist with interviewing and selection of team members and serve as a role model and mentor your team and others

Responsible for developing Managers and Service Managers through coaching and team building while serving as an escalation point for operational issues

Work with HR to develop & implement a Talent Management strategy for the Information Security Team

Conduct periodic and annual performance reviews for all direct report

Strategy

Contribute to the development of the short and long-term Business Unit (BU) strategy in conjunction with overseas counterparts.

Review future work transfer opportunities and present proposals/ work transition plans to Senior Management and relevant stakeholders

Partner with leadership to lead change by managing strategic initiatives to meet business needs

Qualifications

The Requirements

Qualifications:

Qualified to degree level, preferably in a business, IT or security related subject.

Skills:

Proactive rather than reactive

Strong team player with good interpersonal and influencing skills

Ability to work under pressure to tight timelines and without direct supervision

Calm, organized and methodical

Excellent analytical problem-solving skills

Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing

Exceptional relationship management skills and an ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.

Commercial awareness

Agile and responsive approach to meeting objectives and delivering continuous improvement.

Knowledge/Experience:

Essential

At least 7 years of experience with at least 5 of these in Operations Management.

Experienced leader with proven ability in managing large service delivery teams.

Able to manage diverse processes with multiple stakeholders

Knowledge and experience in organizational effectiveness and operations management, implementing best practices

Proven ability in delivering excellent levels of client service

Preferably experienced in conducting transitions/ knowledge transfer activities

Ability to establish robust performance measurement structure

Highly developed critical thinking and analytical skills

Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff groups and major projects or initiatives

Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style

Beneficial

Information and Cyber Security knowledge and understanding

Knowledge of security standards, frameworks, regulation and legislation

Experience of working in a regulated environment, not necessarily insurance or financial services.
