  • Treat safety and environmental compliance as a top priority.
  • Interact with Vessel Fleets/Teams in matters of day to day Marine HR operations.
  • Conduct verification audit (internal) for checklists, contracts, and Officer documentation.
  • Apply for and monitor applications for licenses/endorsements made to relevant Flag authorities; track same.
  • Issue visa letters and necessary supporting documentation, as required..
  • Manage the ships mail (Glasgow office only)
  • Coordinate anniversary programme, including catalogue updates and gift ordering.
  • Issue relevant documentation for joining vessel including Service Terms & Conditions, Appendix A & D for the joining messages that the MPOs send to the officers.
  • Assist the MPOs in ensuring completed Seafarers Required Documentation is received from Officers (excluding Philippine & Indian Nationals) before they off-sign by providing the off signers report.
  • Assist the MPOs in highlighting delayed off-signers, for possible contract extensions to be issued.
  • Co-ordination of seafarer benefits (e.g. Lounge Access, Private Medical Insurance) and communication of revised terms and conditions (e.g. payscale letters).
  • Review and approval of regional seafarers ship joining & leaving expenses.
  • Review and approval of flag state endorsements invoices.
  • Providing backup - including vacation coverage for team.
  • Providing after office hours coverage as appropriate.
Requirements (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
  • Ability to respond positively to customers in an effective manner.
  • Demonstrates teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiar with industry regulations, for example, STCW convention and flag state regulations.
