The Operations Director for Philippines has a strategic leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, fostering innovation, and spearheading organizational transformation. To ensure sustainable growth, the position requires a proactive leader who can navigate traditional working cultures while implementing modern operational strategies, financial control measures, and digital transformation initiatives. This is a key leadership position pivotal to aligning Philippines's operations with the broader regional objectives, promoting a culture of innovation, and ensuring the organization's long-term success.
WHAT'D YOU DO:
Operational Management
- Oversee all functional units within Operations, including Data Input & Output, Quality Control, and Sampling.
- Collaborate with the Regional Operations Director and Ops Support Teams (quality, methodology, systems, platforms) to design and implement policies and strategies for operational improvement.
- Develop and enforce efficient workflows and systems to optimize performance across the department.
- Drive and achieve Operations KPIs, ensuring excellence in all deliverables.
Strategic Transformation
- Lead Philippines’s transformation journey, implementing digital, automated, and modernized processes to enhance operational efficiency.
- Establish and standardize best practices for processes and workflows, ensuring alignment with regional strategies.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by promoting innovation and adaptability within the team.
Financial Management
- Ensure financial control by optimizing cost efficiency through effective budgeting and forecasting.
- Manage financial risks associated with operational changes and oversee ad-hoc project expenditures.
- Regularly assess financial health and implement strategies to maximize profitability.
People & Team Development
- Cultivate a growth-oriented, high-performance culture within the team, fostering employee engagement and satisfaction.
- Identify, mentor, and develop talent to prepare for future leadership roles.
- Establish and maintain a robust performance management system to drive accountability and results.
- Encourage creativity and empower employees to contribute innovative solutions.
Client and Organizational Collaboration
- Act as a key liaison between operations and other departments such as Client Service, Finance, and Human Resources to ensure smooth cross-functional collaboration.
- Support new product development and client pitches by providing operational insights.
- Ensure that operational processes are client-focused and add value to internal and external stakeholders.
WHAT'D YOU BRING:
Background & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS); advanced degrees preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in operational leadership roles, preferably within the market research or related industry.
- Proven experience managing transformations, driving efficiency, and implementing digital and automation initiatives.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong proficiency in information systems, data management, and operational methodologies.
- Expertise in market research, industry trends, techniques, and methodologies.
- Exceptional financial acumen and ability to manage budgets and forecasts effectively.
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills
