Merchandise Supervisor (Open to Fresh Graduates)
The Merchandise Supervisor is responsible for driving sales, managing inventory, and ensuring the efficient distribution of products across stores. The main duties include achieving sales targets through strategic product assortments and sales initiatives, closely managing stock levels to prevent stock-outs, and analyzing sales data to optimize inventory allocation. The role also involves collaborating with teams on assortment planning tailored to local market needs, monitoring product performance, and recommending adjustments to maximize profitability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Achieve Sales Targets:
- Ensure sales targets are met or exceeded by actively managing product assortments and sales strategies.
Stock Management:
- Proactively manage inventory levels to avoid stock-outs by closely monitoring deliveries, stock levels, and weeks of supply per store.
- Coordinate product reorders and inter-branch transfers, ensuring that stock is distributed efficiently to meet demand.
- Minimize inventory aging by ensuring fresh, on-trend merchandise is available, and drive the promotion of fast-moving products to maximize sales.
Data Analysis & Allocation:
- Regularly analyze sales and inventory data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for optimization.
- Use insights to efficiently allocate stock across stores, ensuring the right mix of products to meet customer needs while aligning with store size and location.
Assortment Planning & Distribution:
- Collaborate with teams to develop and distribute tailored sales and stock plans for each store, ensuring assortments are tailored to local customer preferences and specific market demands.
- Adjust product assortments to reflect regional variations, ensuring relevance and increasing conversion rates.
Performance Monitoring & Recommendations:
- Continuously monitor product performance, making recommendations for the introduction of new fast-moving products or the discontinuation of slow-moving ones to improve overall store profitability.
Merchandising Standards Compliance:
- Conduct regular evaluations of assigned stores to ensure compliance with merchandising standards, ensuring consistency in product displays, visual appeal, and overall store presentation.
- Provide guidance and support to store teams on best practices for maintaining merchandising standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or similar field
- Keen to details with strong analytical skills
- Proficient in MS Excel
- With good communication skills either written or oral
- Amenable to work on-site in Pasay City
