Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Financial Close & Reporting: Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes for all business units within the Asia region, ensuring compliance with both internal and external reporting requirements. Ensure timely submission of financial statements to the Regional Office and Corporate Finance teams.

  • Project Leadership: Lead finance-driven projects aimed at improving reporting accuracy and efficiency. Support the roll-out of new accounting standards, ensuring that business units are aligned with corporate policies.
  • SOX & Internal Audit Support: Assist in the implementation and monitoring of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls, conducting regular assessments of financial processes to ensure compliance and identify areas of improvement.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare detailed financial reports, variance analysis, and other ad-hoc financial summaries for senior leadership, ensuring the accurate interpretation of financial data.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with other regional teams, including tax, legal, and treasury, to ensure smooth financial operations across Asia. Provide expert insights during audits and financial reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is required.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory capacity. Experience in multinational companies is preferred.
  • Strong expertise in IFRS accounting principles, with practical knowledge of IFRS 17 being a plus.
  • Familiarity with SAP, Oracle, Sun Systems, or similar ERP/accounting software.
  • Understanding of SOX compliance and internal control frameworks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, etc.).
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to travel occasionally.
  • Results-oriented with a proactive mindset and a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams to implement process improvements.
