Accounts Receivable (AR)
As an AR/AP Assistant, you are responsible for:
- Generate and issue invoices to clients accurately and on time.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on overdue payments.
- Reconcile client accounts and resolve discrepancies or disputes.
- Process incoming payments (automatic payments, direct debits, credit cards) and apply them to the correct accounts.
- Maintain detailed records of all transactions and communications related to collections.
- Collaborate with property managers and client service teams to address billing inquiries.
- Process invoices from vendors and suppliers.
- Ensure proper coding and approval of invoices before payment processing.
- Prepare and schedule payments via bank payment batches.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
- Maintain vendor records and ensure compliance with payment terms.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports related to AP and AR.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, or general accounting.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency in any accounting software but preferably Xero
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
- Familiarity with financial regulations, tax requirements, and compliance standards.
- Experience working in the real estate or property investment industry.
- Knowledge of New Zealand’s financial regulations and tax requirements.
