The Project Manager is responsible for the successful planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of the Solar Project. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the overall planning, execution, monitoring and control of assigned solar projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules and resource allocations in collaboration with the project team.
- Identify, assess and mitigate project risks and issues, implementing appropriate contingency measures.
- Facilitate effective communication and coordination between the project team, Bureau Veritas resources, and other key stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress against plans, providing regular updates and reports to management.
- Ensure project activities comply with Bureau Veritas' quality, health, safety and environmental management systems.
- Oversee the work of Bureau Veritas personnel assigned to support the solar project, providing technical guidance and performance feedback.
- Collaborate with the project team to identify opportunities for process improvements and innovative solutions.
- Maintain thorough project documentation and records in accordance with Bureau Veritas requirements.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy or a related technical discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in the solar energy or renewable power sector
- Strong working knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
- Proven track record of successfully delivering solar or renewable energy projects on time and within budget
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in MS Office suite and project management software
- Familiarity with Bureau Veritas' services and quality systems is preferred
- Fluency in English, with knowledge of local languages an advantage
