The Project Manager is responsible for the successful planning, execution, monitoring, and closure of the Solar Project. This role involves overseeing all aspects of the project, including scope, schedule, budget, risk management, stakeholder engagement, and quality assurance. The Project Manager will work closely with the Bureau Veritas team to ensure the project meets all relevant standards and requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall planning, execution, monitoring and control of assigned solar projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules and resource allocations in collaboration with the project team.
  • Identify, assess and mitigate project risks and issues, implementing appropriate contingency measures.
  • Facilitate effective communication and coordination between the project team, Bureau Veritas resources, and other key stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress against plans, providing regular updates and reports to management.
  • Ensure project activities comply with Bureau Veritas' quality, health, safety and environmental management systems.
  • Oversee the work of Bureau Veritas personnel assigned to support the solar project, providing technical guidance and performance feedback.
  • Collaborate with the project team to identify opportunities for process improvements and innovative solutions.
  • Maintain thorough project documentation and records in accordance with Bureau Veritas requirements.

Qualifications And Experience

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy or a related technical discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in the solar energy or renewable power sector
  • Strong working knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering solar or renewable energy projects on time and within budget
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in MS Office suite and project management software
  • Familiarity with Bureau Veritas' services and quality systems is preferred
  • Fluency in English, with knowledge of local languages an advantage
