Summary
We at PeoplePlusTech are currently looking for General Ledger Payroll Accountant to join as an Independent Contractor. Experience in US and Canada Payroll Accounting. Ideally, the candidate is an accounting graduate or has a strong payroll accounting background of at least 3 years.
This is a fully remote work and night shift schedule.
Responsibilities
- Prepare general ledger journal entries, reconciliations, and analyses for payroll, including statutory remittances.
- Oversee pre- and post-payroll audits for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop monthly cash forecasts for payroll-related expenses, including variance analysis of actual versus forecast.
- Conduct quarterly reviews and analyses of fringe accounts.
- Produce ad hoc reports as requested.
- Collaborate with HR, business leads, and third-party vendors to resolve payroll and payroll accounting issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or relevant payroll accounting experience.
- Proficiency in Excel and MS Office is required.
- Experience with SAP and Blackline is a requirement
- Excellent Service Orientation skills, analytical skills, and expert problem-solving skills.
- Willing to work fully remotely in US time zone.
