Responsible for supporting the daily accounting functions of a company. This includes preparing financial documents, maintaining financial records, assisting with accounts payable and receivable, and supporting month-end and year-end closing procedures. Key Responsibilities:

Financial Recordkeeping:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledgers and journals.
  • Record daily financial transactions, ensuring they align with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation for internal and external audits.

Accounts Payable & Receivable:

  • Process accounts payable invoices and ensure timely payments to vendors.
  • Assist with accounts receivable tasks, including tracking outstanding invoices and ensuring timely collections.
  • Reconcile discrepancies between vendor invoices and purchase orders, as well as payments.

Bank Reconciliation:

  • Reconcile bank statements with company records and ensure accuracy.
  • Resolve any discrepancies and report to senior accountants or management as necessary.

Month-End & Year-End Closing:

  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports and summaries for management.

Reporting:

  • Prepare and analyze reports, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, under the supervision of senior accountants.
  • Assist with the preparation of tax filings and other regulatory reports, as required.

Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to all financial regulations, company policies, and accounting standards.
  • Assist with audits by providing requested documentation and explanations for transactions.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with other departments to gather and verify financial data.
  • Provide general support to the finance team as needed, including preparing reports or completing special projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Education: A bachelor’s degree in accountancy.

Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in accounting or a related field (Fresh grad are welcome too).

Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
