Information Technology Security Specialist
The successful candidate will report to the Information Security Section Head and will be mainly responsible for the implementation and maintenance of NGCP cybersecurity infrastructure. The role is also responsible for ensuring cybersecurity during the development stages of software systems, network, and data centers.
1. Provide continuous services within the protocols of his scope of work and
formulate/implement recommendations for improvement.
- Assists the Information and Operational Technology Security (IAOTS) Section Heads
in the development and improvement of IAOTS Plan and Programs;
- Ensures technical compliance of IAOTS systems to applicable Philippine laws;
- Assists the IAOTS team in establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually
improving the company’s Information Security Management System and other
cybersecurity standards;
- Coordinates with IAOTS section and other functional groups to ensure that IAOTS
plans and programs are developed and established;
- Conducts information systems orientation and security awareness programs;
- Monitors and audits Information Communication Technology systems by way of
vulnerability assessments and penetration testing; and apply fixes and patches to these
vulnerabilities;
- Ensures compliance to cybersecurity audits;
- Evaluates and recommends new cybersecurity technologies;
- Ensures that all IT systems both old and new are compliant with NGCP standards and
policies; and
- Other tasks that may be assigned that are within the scope of information systems
security.
2. Ensure that activities are fully compliant with NGCP safety/quality standards.
- Complies with applicable regulations and NGCP standards on safety
and quality;
- Strives for the continuous improvement of NGCP processes necessary
for the achievement of corporate objectives; and
- Upholds corporate policies and guidelines.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Electronics and Communications Engineering or any related course
- With at least two (2) years of experience in cybersecurity
- Knowledgeable in Information Security Frameworks & Compliance such as but not limited to ISO27001, IT General Controls, SOX Compliance
- Knowledgeable in Risk Management and Security Audits
- Ability to draft security policies, guidelines, and procedures
- Highly analytical, good communication and documentation skills
- Preferably with certification in Ethical Hacking, Vulnerability Assessment, Penetration Testing or equivalents
