Role Description
The Modern Trade Business Development Manager – Head Office is responsible for growing the company’s business in assigned Modern Trade customers by developing, implementing, monitoring & evaluation of customer plans to ensure that business targets are achieved within allocated budget.
His/Her primary responsibility is ensuring that all of the assigned account’s head office needs are serviced on-time and in-full. He/She shall provide sustainable and profitable business recommendations and programs to his/her account, representing CPFI to his/her fullest capacity.
The General Trade Business Development Manager is the company’s business consultant who mainly interfaces with our CORD’s
(Corporate Distributors). He or She is responsible for the volume achievement & other Key Result Areas in the
regions/areas where CORD is assigned.
Essential Job Functions:
Modern Trade BDM for RRHI, Puregold, Citimart Batangas. NCCC Davao,
- Conducts consultation with buyers on a regular and predictable schedule (documents consultation via Talksheet)
- Cascade company promos & programs to buyers, coordinators, & merchandisers (all within assigned budget)
- Conducts store checks and store visits (only 20-30% of his/her time in a week) (does Store Score while doing trade visit)
- Aligns with merchandising coordinators on company strategies and directions
- Submits RWER, sales performance, activity, and other reports (e.g. Talksheet, TTA, Factbook, etc.)
- Coordinates with logistics for timely delivery of orders
- Introduces new products to assigned accounts
- Monitors in-store promotional activities performance (off-take, efficiency of budget)
- Manages account ARs together with BDM Ops and coordinates closely with CPFI Comptroller Team
- Ensures that assigned account spending is within given budget
- Coordinates with TMG Group to better service assigned account (recommendation and implementation of Channel, CATMAN and ISA projects)
General Trade BDM Isonn Ilocos, Bataan/Zambales, GMA, Ozamis or Zamboanga, South Luzon
- Conducts consultation with buyers on a regular and predictable schedule (documents consultation via Talksheet)

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (Open for Fresh Graduates)
- Experience in the food or consumer goods industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strategic thinking and market analysis abilities
- Proven track record in business development and client relationship management but not required
- Strong sales and negotiation skills but not required
