Property Accountant Specialist
A Property Accounting Specialist supports the accounting team under the Real Estate Department in managing financial transactions related to properties. Their responsibilities may include:
Financial Transactions & Record-Keeping
- Record financial transactions based on completed and verified documents.
- Maintain and update property accounting records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Assist in reconciling accounts, including rent payments, invoices, and other property-related expenses.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Process and track invoices, payments, and reimbursements related to property operations.
- Assist in collecting rent payments and reconciling tenant accounts.
- Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on late payments when necessary.
Audit & Compliance Support
- Maintain all records intact and ensure they are audit-ready.
- Assist in preparing documentation and reports for internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare and release validated financial reports as required.
- Assist in maintaining and updating databases for accounting transactions.
- Document revisions in accounting processes and recommend process improvements.
General Support & Coordination
- Collaborate with property managers, accountants, and other stakeholders to resolve financial discrepancies.
- Assist in budgeting and financial forecasting tasks as needed.
- Ensure timely submission of financial data and reports in compliance with deadlines.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must graduate with a BS in Accountancy or Accounting major courses.
- At least 2 years related experience in revenue, accounts receivable, fixed asset management, disbursement, and account payable permit and compliance
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Highly analytical, well-organized, and adept with interpersonal skills
- Familiar with the computerized accounting system.
