Job Overview

The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the entire supply chain process, from procurement and inventory management to distribution, for the client's medical devices portfolio. This role ensures the timely and cost-effective delivery of products while maintaining high standards for quality, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction. The Supply Chain Manager will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure that products are available when needed while optimizing costs and efficiencies.

Your Responsibilities

  • Supply Chain Planning: Develop, implement, and manage the overall supply chain strategy, ensuring alignment with company goals. Monitor and forecast supply chain needs to ensure the timely delivery of products to customers.
  • Procurement & Vendor Management: Oversee the procurement process for raw materials, components, and finished goods. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery while maintaining quality standards.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain optimal inventory levels across the supply chain to ensure product availability while minimizing excess stock. Implement inventory management systems to improve tracking and reduce waste.
  • Logistics & Distribution: Manage the logistics and distribution operations to ensure efficient and timely delivery to customers and distributors. Collaborate with logistics partners to negotiate shipping rates and optimize delivery schedules.
  • Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure that all supply chain activities comply with regulatory requirements for the medical devices industry, including FDA and ISO regulations. Work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure products meet strict quality standards.
  • Cost Control & Budgeting: Develop and manage the supply chain budget, ensuring cost efficiency in procurement, warehousing, transportation, and other supply chain activities. Analyze supply chain performance data to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive operational improvements.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, marketing, product development, and customer service teams to understand demand forecasts, product launches, and customer needs. Provide timely updates on inventory levels, order status, and potential supply chain challenges.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain (e.g., supply disruptions, delays, or regulatory changes) and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate supply chain processes for inefficiencies and implement improvements. Use data analytics and performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of supply chain operations.

What Our Client Is Looking For

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree or relevant certifications preferred).
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, ideally within the medical device or healthcare industry.
    • Proven track record of managing procurement, inventory, logistics, and distribution processes.
    • Strong knowledge of supply chain management software (e.g., ERP systems) and tools.
    • Experience with FDA regulations, ISO standards, and other industry-specific compliance requirements.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Strong project management and organizational skills.
    • Effective communication and negotiation skills with suppliers, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data analysis and reporting.
