Design Associate/Supervisor
Job Description:
As a Design Associate/Supervisor specializing in Special Projects, you will work closely with both internal teams and external partners to drive the success of complex and high-priority design initiatives. This role involves ensuring that design intent is maintained throughout the process, while also ensuring compliance with project requirements and regulatory standards. Your responsibilities will include:
- Foster effective communication and coordination between internal teams, external consultants, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution. You will work closely with all parties to keep the project on track and ensure design requirements are met.
- Conduct meticulous reviews of design drawings and documentation, ensuring accuracy, adherence to code, and alignment with project specifications. Identify and resolve discrepancies to ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Manage the timely delivery of design-related materials, including tracking revisions, preparing design update reports, and ensuring that all project milestones are documented.
- Act as the design liaison with the site team to ensure that design intent is effectively communicated and implemented on-site. Provide support in resolving any issues that arise during construction, ensuring that the design is adhered to, while also addressing any unforeseen challenges.
- Take ownership of specific special projects, ensuring design objectives and timelines are met. Work on complex or high-priority projects requiring creative problem-solving and a high level of attention to detail.
Minimum Requirements:
- Licensed Architect with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in design and construction.
- Strong experience in reviewing, interpreting, and revising architectural drawings, specifications, and documentation.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements, building codes, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills with the ability to collaborate across different teams and stakeholders.
- Proficient in design software and project management tools
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met.
