We are currently seeking a meticulous and experienced Warehouseman with expertise in inventory management to join our team. The Warehouseman will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory control within our warehouse facility, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company procedures. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
1.Manage and maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management software/systems.
2.Oversee the receipt, storage, and issuance of goods, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to established procedures.
3.Conduct regular cycle counts and periodic physical inventory audits to verify inventory accuracy and address any discrepancies.
4.Monitor inventory levels and reorder points to prevent stockouts and excess inventory, optimizing inventory turnover and minimizing carrying costs.
5.Coordinate with purchasing and logistics teams to ensure timely replenishment of stock and efficient inbound/outbound operations.
6.Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory items and recommend actions to minimize excess inventory and maximize inventory turns.
7.Implement and enforce inventory control procedures, including FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and FEFO (First-Expired, First-Out) principles.
8.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve inventory accuracy, streamline processes, and resolve inventory-related issues.
9.Train and supervise warehouse staff on proper inventory handling procedures, safety protocols, and use of inventory management systems.
10.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies regarding inventory management, safety, and security.
11.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize warehouse operations and enhance overall efficiency.
12.Generate reports and analyze inventory data to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory accuracy, stock levels, and inventory turnover.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience (2-3 years minimum) in warehouse operations, with a focus on inventory management.
- Strong understanding of inventory control principles, procedures, and best practices.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software/systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, WMS).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes of inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Fluent in English.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or overtime as needed.
- Forklift certification and experience operating material handling equipment (preferred).
