About the Role:

The PMO Governance Head is responsible for ensuring that the agreed governance frameworks are implemented to the highest quality across all projects and programs in a standardized, effective and efficient way such that it promotes transparency, accountability and effective risk management.

What we're looking for:

  • Uplift and govern the implementation of PMO policies, procedure and standards focused on delivery excellence.
  • Work across a matrix organization to ensure the policies and protocols required to manage and govern all projects is replicated across the bank in a consistent, transparent, and enabling manner
  • Oversee the adherence to the governance frameworks and standardized approach, ensuring all projects are managed to the highest quality and deliver excellence
  • Perform regular review of all projects with PMO team members, project/program managers and portfolio leads as appropriate to ensure good communication around expectations and any actions needed
  • Hands-on leadership of the PMO team to lead and guide them on how to implement best practice and exemplify adherence to the expected standards, mentor teams as needed to ensure the PMO team is highly functioning
  • Establish and maintain project management standards, provide constructive feedback on the framework and methodologies, and be a custodian and trainer of correct tool usage.

How you'll contribute:

  • Extensive experience in a PMO role with a strong focus on project delivery and financial management.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools; agile, hybrid and waterfall.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to project management.
  • Expertise in risk management and mitigation strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skill, with an ability to establish strong collaborative working relationships with cross matrix stakeholders, at all levels, across the organization. Demonstrated ability to foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
  • Proven ability to lead data-driven decision making and promote transparency
