I. PURPOSE

  • The candidate will be hired as Technology Pre-Sales Engineer responsible for providing technical expertise and solutions during the pre-sales process and eventually to lead and oversee the design and engineering of projects from conceptualization to completion of EV Charger, Solar PV, BESS (Battery Energy Storage System) and related technologies and shall be based in Metro Manila.
  • The candidate may be required to go to travel to various parts of the Philippines depending on the need to perform his/her duty as indicated.
  • The candidate is expected to work between 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM based on the company’s regular working hours but maybe requested to extend beyond working hour if need be.

Ii. Duties And Responsibilities

  • The candidate is responsible for the assessment and analysis of customer requirements for solar infrastructure components and facility construction, as documented in pre-sales request forms, and the subsequent design of appropriate solutions.
  • The candidate will be required to develop and deliver technical presentations to events, summits and clients, highlighting the features, benefits, and performance of the proposed solutions. Tailor presentations to the audience's technical level including POC (proof of concept) and technical walkthrough of product features to customers.
  • The candidate will be responsible for delivering complete, timely, and accurate solar facility BOMs to the sales team, along with necessary technical documentation (diagrams, brochures, design presentations, CAD drawings, etc.). Responsibilities also include quantifying work items based on approved construction drawings, field conditions, and specifications; preparing quantity takeoffs and evaluating cost proposals; and reviewing bid documents and construction specifications to ensure technical compliance.
  • The candidate is expected to coordinate the transition between pre-sales specification and implementation engineering once the proposal has been awarded, provide technical direction or support to the implementation team during installation, start-up, testing, system commissioning, or performance monitoring.
  • The candidate is expected to establish excellent relationships with customers and principals/partners.
  • The candidate is expected to collaborate and work cohesively and effectively with the sales resource team, as well as with the TG Data Center Infrastructure business solutions group
  • The candidate is expected to display a good level of technical expertise or experience and establish credibility with the customers.
  • The candidate is expected to attend and participate in meeting requests, surveys, bidding conferences, and other technical related events.
  • The candidate is expected to create solar facilities (including BESS and/or EV Charging System) plans to include but are not limited to electrical diagrams, panel schedules, using computer-aided design (CAD) as well as planning and design overall network architecture of solar facilities solutions.
  • The candidate is expected to perform other tasks assigned by the management team.

Iii. Qualifications

  • Minimum Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum Experience/Training
  • Minimum 5 years of experience
  • Has experience on electrical design, quantity survey/estimate
    • Plan and design the overall network architecture of the solar facilities solution.
    • Independently take charge of deliverables of each domain or subsystem level of the solution, and support activities such as planning, consulting, and meeting requirements for key projects.
    • Communicate, understand and identify customers' requirements for solar facilities solutions.
    • Support the development of key solar facilities projects and explain the solution and communicate with customers' executives and technical personnel.
    • Support the delivery of key solar facilities projects, lead requirement survey, and customize solutions to ensure project delivery
    • Prepare detailed drawings and plans for the design and installation of solar facilities, including photovoltaic (PV) panels, inverters, and related infrastructure.
    • Utilize CAD software to create and modify drawings based on engineering specifications and field data.
    • Ensure all designs comply with local codes, standards, and safety regulations
  • With strong background on solar facilities construction.
  • Deep understanding on Laws, Executive Orders, and DOE Department Circulars involving Renewable Energy specifically for Solar PV which includes but not limited to Renewable Energy Act of 2008 (RA9513), Energy Efficiency and Conversion Act (RA11285), EOs on Solar Rooftop and Self Consumption Applications.

  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and AutoCAD (2D/3D)
