Position: IT Business Analyst - Local Bank
Location: Makati City
Job Summary: The IT Business Analyst collaborates with stakeholders to understand business needs, analyze processes, and implement technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency and support business objectives. This role serves as a bridge between business units and IT teams, ensuring that technical solutions align with business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
- Engage with stakeholders to elicit, document, and analyze business requirements.
- Translate business needs into functional specifications for IT solutions.
Process Mapping and Modeling:
- Document and analyze current business processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop process flow diagrams and models to support system development.
Solution Design and Recommendation:
- Collaborate with IT teams to design solutions that meet business requirements.
- Recommend system enhancements or process changes to improve efficiency.
Project Management Support:
- Assist in project planning, including defining project scope, timelines, and resources.
- Monitor project progress and coordinate with relevant teams to ensure timely delivery.
Testing and Quality Assurance:
- Develop and execute test plans to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
- Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) and address any issues identified.
Documentation and Training:
- Prepare comprehensive documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, and user manuals.
- Conduct training sessions for end-users to ensure effective utilization of new systems or processes.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage expectations and provide regular updates on project status.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience in business analysis, preferably within the banking or financial services industry.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in process mapping and modeling tools.
- Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
- Experience with project management practices and tools.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) are a plus.
