As a medical receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients, delivering excellent customer service. You will engage with patients for billing inquiries and concerns to support the medical billing team. This role is for you if you enjoy helping people and possess strong communication skills.
Responsibilities
Greet patients and insurance carriers for incoming medical billing calls.
Demonstrate the ability to interpret the patient billing ledger and communicate findings to the patient.
Review billing correspondence and assign it to the appropriate staff member.
Gather necessary information from the patient to formulate an email for assignment to the appropriate staff.
Transfer calls to the relevant staff members regarding billing inquiries.

Familiar with common medical terms, health insurance, and the process of obtaining authorizations for office visits, procedures and/or injections
Warm, patient-focused phone manner
Able to quickly learn new software
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail and accurate data entry
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
Knowledge of excel
Fluent in English
Comfortable working Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm Eastern Time
