Job Description:
•Provide timely support to design service requests, prioritizing needs and clients, and taking action to problem solve
• Review requests for proposals to assist proposal teams in developing attractive, innovative concepts to support technical information in proposals
• Proactively consult with key proposal team members, set clear expectations, and provide expert recommendations on effective and innovative graphics solutions
• Create easy-to-understand graphics that adhere to our corporate brand standards and appeal to different types of audiences
• Create innovative, original designs and layouts with a strong sense of typography and appropriate use of color
• Solve design challenges in a variety of formats (charts, infographics, maps, logos, posters, brochures, websites, and newsletters)
• Coordinate production of printed materials and purchase of other graphics-related materials with outside printers and vendors as required by project and/or department needs
• Maintain and expand technical knowledge in graphic design and other technical interests by attending internal and external trainings and conferences/events and stay on top of industry trends
•Perform administrative tasks such as processing invoices as needed
•Research and develop templates to improve core graphic design deliverables and expand department services
Required Skills:
•2-3 years of professional design experience working in a design or advertising agency and/or corporate marketing and communications department
•Advanced knowledge of and experience using Adobe Creative Cloud
•A strong electronic portfolio with a variety of samples
•Knowledge or strong interest in video editing and motion graphics a plus
•Experience using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
•Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, solve problems creatively, and work under tight deadlines
•Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
•Excellent written and oral communication skills
•Knowledge of design history, typography, and mechanical and digital production techniques
•Experience overseeing four-color printing through delivery
•Demonstrated knowledge of PC and Mac hardware/software programs
•Knowledge of a foreign language a plus
•Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and integrity
