Remote US Bookkeeper | Full-Time | Direct Hire

They have emerged as a trusted ally for churches and nonprofit organizations seeking to alleviate financial burdens. Their dedicated team delivers a wide range of comprehensive solutions, from essential bookkeeping services to the establishment of a fully equipped accounting team for their clients.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform weekly bookkeeping tasks in accounting systems such as QBO and Sage.
- Generate meaningful month-end reports, including the Statement of Financial Position, Statement of Activity, and Budget vs. Actuals, while creating custom reports as needed.
- Manage credit card expenses using platforms like Expensify and Divvy.
- Oversee Accounts Payable and Receivable processes using Bill.com and QBO.
- Accurately code deposits from donation records in church management software, including Planning Center, CCB, ACS, Fellowship One, and Pushpay.
- Assist with budget management to ensure financial stability and goal alignment.
- Process payroll using platforms such as Gusto, iSolved, ADP, and Paychex.
- Reconcile monthly financial statements to maintain accurate records.
- Track data for W-9 retrieval and ensure timely 1099 reporting at year-end using Tax1099.com.
- Maintain and manage the chart of accounts, classes, and locations for accurate financial reporting.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding missing information, financial needs, and long-term financial vision.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 1–3 years of bookkeeping experience in a U.S. private or public accounting firm.
- Training in bookkeeping and accounting.
- Proficiency in cloud-based accounting systems and financial processes.
- Proficiency with church management software.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to cloud-based technology platforms.
- Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Excel for efficient data management and reporting.
- Ability to create instructional videos using Loom to document task completion procedures.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently, while also excelling in a collaborative virtual team environment.
- Resilient and persistent, with a strong commitment to achieving goals and delivering results.
- Forward-thinking mindset with high ethical standards, professionalism, and a growth-oriented approach.
