The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial consolidation process, forecasting, budgeting, and strategic analysis for Meralco PowerGen’s power generation business. This role requires strong financial modeling skills, in-depth knowledge of the energy sector, and expertise in handling complex financial consolidations across multiple subsidiaries and joint ventures.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Consolidation & Reporting

  • Lead the consolidation of financial results across all Meralco PowerGen subsidiaries, joint ventures, and affiliated entities.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP and corporate financial policies in all consolidation activities.
  • Analyze variances between actual results, budgets, and forecasts to provide actionable insights.
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Oversee intercompany reconciliations and ensure proper eliminations in financial statements.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Manage the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts for Meralco PowerGen and its subsidiaries.
  • Develop financial models to support business planning, scenario analysis, and investment decisions.
  • Work closely with business units to gather inputs and validate financial assumptions.

Strategic & Financial Analysis

  • Provide data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making in power generation projects, investments, and cost optimization.
  • Conduct financial feasibility studies and risk analysis for new power projects, acquisitions, and capital expenditures.
  • Collaborate with corporate strategy and operations teams to align financial plans with business objectives.

Stakeholder Management & Compliance

  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors, regulatory bodies, and other key stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with ERC, DOE, SEC, and other regulatory financial reporting requirements.
  • Support investor relations and management presentations by providing key financial metrics and performance analysis.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis, financial consolidation, or corporate finance, preferably in the power/energy sector.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Experience with financial consolidation software (SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, etc.).
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the Philippine energy and power industry.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.
