As a Business Development Consultant, you will play a crucial role in identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities. You will work closely with sales, marketing, and management teams to develop strategies that drive revenue growth and enhance our market presence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Introduce the firm and its partners to at least x potential clients every month and assist the firm in obtaining engagements from such potential clients. These persons or the companies that they represent will not have had dealings with the firm nor be existing firm clients.
- Planning, developing, and overseeing new marketing initiatives. To work with the Firm to develop and organize activities that will make the public and the business community aware of the firm's service offerings. In addition, the BD consultant will attend relevant third-party organized events in the business community to know about specific trends and updates relating to the industry.
- Build professional relationships with internal and external customers, ensuring sales opportunities are maximised and enhancing KPMG's reputation as an advisor of choice
- On an as-need basis, attend meetings with the firm's partners or officers or conduct briefings on matters that may be of interest to the firm and its clients and that are within your expertise.
- Help achieve the group’s revenue targets by supporting the team’s strategic plan for growth by helping cross-sell to other service lines and attracting new clients.
- Develop proposals for clients and work collaboratively with the Senior Management Team throughout the bidding and pitching process.
- Keep track of the goals, business plan commitment, initiatives, and revenue targets of the group and help ensure they are met.
- Understand the wider offerings of the firm and gain a good understanding of broader sector and client trends, issues, needs, and potential applicability/ relevance to services offered by the group
- Achieve sales targets supporting the group’s strategic plan for growth
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Familiarity with the industry or market in which the company operates is highly desirable.
- Proven experience in business development, marketing or sales roles.
- Strong knowledge of market dynamics and business principles.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Strategic thinking ability with innovative problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional negotiation skills with an analytical mindset for data interpretation.
- With atleast 8-10 years of relevant experience
