Scope

  • Report to and work closely with the finance manager
  • Manage financial records for the entire organization
  • Handle confidential financial and employee information
  • Potential to expand role to include more HR-related tasks

Responsibilities

  • Enter invoices for payment into Xero accounting system
  • Follow up with staff regarding credit card receipts and ensure proper entry
  • Manage and update insurance and licensing documentation
  • Follow up on unpaid invoices, primarily via email
  • Reconcile accounts within the Xero system
  • Prepare financial information for review by the finance manager
  • Assist with payroll processing
  • Support HR functions by managing onboarding processes in the system

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Xero accounting software
  • Mid-level to senior experience in bookkeeping or accounting
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience with payroll processing
  • Knowledge of Australian tax regulations and compliance requirements
  • Familiarity with HR processes is a plus
