Job Overview:
As a Sr. Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving the overall strategy, growth, and performance of the company’s retail and e-commerce operations. You will be involved in managing sales, marketing, and business development activities to maximize revenue, optimize customer experience, and ensure alignment with business goals. You will spearhead the international expansion of the brand from a sales first perspective.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive commerce strategy to drive revenue and market share growth both domestically and internationally.
- Oversee the management of all e-commerce platforms and retail operations, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
- Identify market opportunities, analyze industry trends, and adapt strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Collaborate with executive leaders to align commerce objectives with overall business goals, with a key focus on P&L management
- Work closely with marketing teams to design and execute promotional campaigns that drive traffic and sales.
- Oversee the development, operation, and optimization of e-commerce platforms and monitor and analyze online sales performance, ensuring achievement of revenue targets.
- Implement strategies to enhance website performance, user experience, and conversion rates.
- Lead sales to achieve revenue goals and expand market presence while maintaining strong relationships with key partners, distributors, and stakeholders.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and drive profitability.
- Work closely with suppliers and retail buyers as well as other 3rd party stakeholders to optimize the sales, logistics and distribution chain.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional development to the commerce team, fostering a culture of excellence while establishing KPIs and regularly evaluating team performance to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Oversee the departmental budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation and the achievement of financial goals.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field (business, marketing, or ecommerce)
- 8 years of experience in ecommerce, and a minimum of 3 years experience managing a team
- Strong analytical skills and experience using data to identify trends and opportunities for growth
- Experience with direct-to-consumer brand with aggressive ecommerce strategy across multiple geographies
- Experience developing and implementing sales & commerce strategies
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Strong understanding of digital commerce platforms and marketing strategies.
- Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Outstanding leadership and interpersonal abilities
- Bonus: Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations, such as privacy laws and consumer protection laws
