Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate of Economics, Business Management, any Engineering or Math related
  • Preferably with post-graduate studies
  • At least 3 years experience in Energy Economics and/or Energy Trading, or other analytical roles in Commercial Operations in Power business
  • At least 2 years experience in electricity market modeling using forecasting tools or statistical price modeling (e.g., EMCAS, Aurora, PLEXOS, R, LEAP, etc.)
  • At least 2 years experience in statistical/econometric modeling in electricity-related output data

Competencies

  • Power industry market dynamics and operations (Generation, Transmission, Distribution, Retail Supply)
  • Power industry laws, rules, and regulations (Generation, Transmission, Distribution, Retail Supply)
  • Power supply agreements and retail supply contracts
  • Quantitative modeling and scenario simulation (e.g., demand or price forecasting models)
  • Macroeconomic analysis and Econometrics, including energy demand forecasting
  • Strong communication abilities, both verbal and written
  • Critical thinking, strategic, tactical creativity, and systems and structure design
  • Analytical, statistical, quantitative and deduction skills
