Know More About the Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Aeronautical Engineering
- Holder of a valid Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT) license from CAAP
- Must have at least 3 years of experience in Maintenance Control Operations
- With Level 3 training of any aircraft type rating maintained by PAL express (Airbus/Q400)
- Additional experience as Aircraft Mechanic is an advantage
- Proficient in MS Office Tools and other digital platforms

The Maintenance Controller monitors the timely implementation of the approved Maintenance Programs, modifications, repairs, compliance of Airworthiness Directives, and time limited AMM procedures on all PAL express owned and/or operated aircraft.
He or she is also responsible for the performance of oversight function on Maintenance Providers and must be able to provide analysis of technical defects arising or recurring at any given time during aircraft Maintenance operation through the fault monitoring via Flight Remarks, Aviatar, or equivalent system in anticipation of critical faults leading to operational DELAYS or AOGs.
Other Responsibilities:
- To monitor the performance of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on the aircraft/s.
- To ensure timely compliance of all Airworthiness Directives.
- To immediately call the attention of the maintenance provider for any observation deviation from standard maintenance practices.
- Complies with applicable regulations and standards by reporting all accidents, incidents, and any hazard in the workplace, and being safety conscious by exerting duty of care in the performance of duties.
- Keep the Operations Team (IOCC) informed of arising defects and maintenance issues, advising their effect on the operation, aircraft limitations etc.
- Monitor and ensure all aircraft departs on time. Once delay occurs, include in flight disruption report and AMOS Event Tracking or equivalent system.
- Makes recommendations for aircraft substitution in cases of foreseeable flight disruption.
- Develop troubleshooting strategies and monitors recurring defects using AMOS repeated items or equivalent system and provide weekly report of the recurring remarks including its action plan.
- Provide Technical assistance in aircraft with defects/AOG including outstation.
