The Role:

The Chief of Staff – Plant Controller plays a pivotal role in providing comprehensive financial and analytical support to the Battery Plant and other business units within the RAMCAR group. This position is integral to the organization, as it involves preparing and presenting precise financial and operational data to various stakeholders, thereby facilitating informed management decisions and generating valuable business insights. The ideal candidate will adopt a multi-disciplinary approach to analysis and problem-solving, drawing insights from diverse areas of the business, including Battery Manufacturing, Sales & Marketing, Financial Planning, Mergers & Acquisitions, and more.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Leadership in Management Reporting:

  • Lead the Management Reporting team in the analysis and presentation of monthly financial performance, including Profit & Loss (P&L), Balance Sheet (BS), and Cash Flow (CF) statements.
  • Ensure accuracy and clarity in reporting to support strategic decision-making.

Preparation of Consolidated Financial Statements:

  • Prepare comprehensive Consolidated Financial Statements for the Battery group, encompassing both statutory and management reports.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary data and insights for accurate reporting.

Long-term Financial Modeling:

  • Assist in the development of long-term financial models that include sales and expense forecasting, capital expenditure (capex) projections, and debt planning.
  • Utilize advanced analytical techniques to enhance the reliability of financial forecasts.

Strategic Participation in Management Discussions:

  • Actively participate in senior management calls that address group-wide strategies and specific business unit updates.
  • Integrate insights from these discussions into financial models and projections to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Monitor and report on key performance metrics for the plant and specific business units, providing actionable insights to drive operational efficiencies.
  • Develop dashboards and visualizations to communicate performance trends effectively.

Ad Hoc Analysis and Special Projects:

  • Provide ad hoc analysis and support for special projects as requested by senior management.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness to evolving business needs and priorities.

Key Requirements:

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized institution. Candidates with strong academic performance, such as Latin Honors or consistent Dean’s lister status, are encouraged to apply.
  • A Master of Business Administration (MBA) and/or a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a plus but not required

Professional Experience:

  • 7 to 10 years of relevant work experience, with a strong background in Accounting and Finance.
  • Proven track record in financial analysis, reporting, and strategic planning.

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel for financial modeling and analysis.
  • Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems is a plus.

Personal Attributes:

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to new situations and information.
  • Strong analytical skills with the capability to absorb and interpret complex data, simplifying it for presentation to stakeholders.
