As a Team Leader - Recruitment, you will provide line management and leadership for a team of recruiters, supporting the team in meeting their relevant targets, KPIs and quality thresholds to drive value for AMS. You will take charge in managing the internal end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring that excellent recruitment services are delivered to the client.
You’ll support our success by:
Leadership
- Support recruiters to ensure they are meeting relevant targets, including acting as a point of escalation for challenges raised during the recruitment process
- Provide oversight of requisitions managed by recruiters as guardians of quality and experience
- Mentor recruiters to deliver recruitment services and drive hiring manager relationships
- Provide pastoral care, training guidance, including supporting recruiters with their own career paths
- Maintain regular communication with team members, including conducting regular 1:1s and virtual team collaboration sessions.
Recruitment Delivery
- Ensure the recruitment service is delivered in line with contractual obligations and client service level agreements.
- Lead vacancy consultation discussions in partnership with the Sourcer to agree to recruitment plans with hiring managers and document outcomes of the intake meeting
- Collaborate with Sourcing team to ensure the delivery of high-quality candidate shortlists through timely feedback and review discussions. Jointly review the shortlist with the hiring manager
- Support the hiring manager with hiring decisions and guide them in determining an appropriate offer
- Manage the offer process and close the candidate - broker the offer with the chosen candidate, manage objections/negotiations and support the candidate during their notice period
Client Stakeholder Relationships
- Create and maintain trusted partner relationships with Senior hiring managers/stakeholders. Become a trusted advisor through providing counsel, advising through insight and SME knowledge on the recruitment process and ensuring that timelines are correctly identified and met
- Lead discussion on attraction strategies to correctly identify approach based on market and hiring demands
- Make recommendations for best fit and skills profile, coaching hiring managers on what may or may not be achievable
What you need to have to be successful:
- Experience of end-to-end recruitment delivery with expertise in at least one market sector
- Experience leading and managing a team, including performance and underperformance management – capable to give constructive feedback, lead productive team meetings and one to ones or coaching sessions.
- Experience of managing direct client relationships - capable to appraise risks and opportunities in client’s demands, new solutions, process changes.
- Excellent English business communication skills, written and oral, plus any client specific languages as required.
- Expertise in various candidate sourcing strategies (e.g. web sourcing, networking, advertising and database searching)
- Experience of using recruitment technology and databases
- Understanding of legislation affecting area of work (e.g. age discrimination, employment risks for contractors, OFCCP, data management techniques or similar local legislative requirements)
- Experience of understanding and utilising data to optimise outputs and performance of team
- Proven ability to work in a highly complex matrix organisation
