Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant with expertise in NetSuite to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the month-end process, including balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and manual journal preparation. This role requires strong attention to detail, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work efficiently to meet reporting deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Month-End Close: Perform month-end closing procedures, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
- Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
- Bank Reconciliation: Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy between bank statements and the general ledger.
- Journal Entries: Prepare and post manual journal entries in NetSuite as needed.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable Support: Support the AP and AR functions as required.
- Compliance & Audit Support: Assist with internal and external audit requests, ensuring documentation is accurate and complete.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and system efficiencies.
- Other ad-hoc tasks
Key Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
- System Knowledge: Strong proficiency in NetSuite (must-have).
- Accounting Skills: Solid understanding of Australian accounting principles (AASB/IFRS), financial reporting, and reconciliations.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in financial data management.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to identify, analyze, and resolve financial discrepancies.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Qualifications: CPA or CA qualification
