Position Summary
The post holder supports the Asset Management Regional Head in leading the Asset Management System (AMS) Implementation and delivering compliance in the management of Transition Business Group core generation assets. The role will include identifying potential improvements, analyze maintenance strategies and ensure proper utilization of CMMS and other work system to determine condition and long term integrity of the group’s critical assets
Roles and Responsibilities
Asset Management and Planning
- Formulates Asset Management Policies and Strategic Asset Management Plans (SAMP) for the Thermal Business Unit
- Formulates Asset Management Procedures and Guidelines for the Thermal Business Unit
- Cascades Asset Management policies and procedures to relevant departments and other support group teams
- Conducts regular audit to ensure that the relevant departments comply with policies and procedures
- Ensures a regular review is done to continuously improve or update the policies and procedures as necessary
Asset Management System
Establishes a robust asset management system through the governance of the ff processes:
- Failure Mode, Effects, Critical Assessment (FMECA)
- Single Point of Failure (SPOF)
- Engineering Management Of Change (EMOC)
- Technical Corrective Action Report (CAR) monitoring
- Life Cycle Management Planning
- Critical Spares Identification
- Conducts training and cascade to ensure the team members and relevant parties are familiar and capable of using the established asset management system
- Creates a platform for reporting dashboard to ensure asset management system operating and maintaining parameters can be monitored by relevant users including management
- Ensures that the Asset Management Projects are planned and executed in a timely, properly, least cost, and well organized manner. These includes asset life cycle and capital outlay and budget planning of asset, system process improvements, strategic planning and collaboration projects with other departments
Asset Management Internal Process Optimization and Tools Implementation
- Develops solutions to improve and optimize systems and process related to Asset Management
- Drives the utilization of CMMS as primary asset management technology tools by ensuring maximum use of data collection, analysis and trending capabilities
- Consolidates AM Plans of all plants and looks for best practices as well as areas for improvements and makes necessary recommendations [for GH’s Review]
- Develops and implements an Optimization plan for Maximo AWM in order to improve utilization, user experience, data collection , and data reporting and analysis
People Management
- Develops Operational Plan and Tier 2 targets for the Asset Management support within the business group
- Develop and/or implements the Department's approved organizational chart to ensure effective and efficient workflow
- Implements the company's performance evaluation system as well as its career development program for the department's personnel
- Coordinates the development and implementation of Training Programs and other interventions to improve job skills and enhance performance
Risk Management
- Ensures that the risks in the asset management system are identified, addressed, and managed to acceptable levels
- Ensures that the risk of process and equipment failures identified by the relevant parties are addressed, monitored, and managed by conducting regular reviews through Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) with relevant department to monitor the status of the Risk Treatment Plans (RTP)
- Conducts regular audit to ensure continuous improvement on managing asset related risks
Stakeholder Engagement
- Conducts meeting with stakeholders to resolve issues and concerns related to Asset Management and planned outages
Related Responsibilities
- Develops innovations to improve and optimize systems and process related to Asset Management
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities that may be required and assigned to the position such 5S, business continuity management, safety, internal audit on management systems and the like
- Conforms to the company's Quality, Environmental , Occupational Health and Safety and Information Security Management Systems policies, standards , procedures, guidelines based on ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OSHAS 18001 and ISO 27001 Standards
- Reports Environmental , Occupational Health and Safety, and Information Security events/incident or potential events, or other security risks to the organization/ committees-in-charge
- Protect information assets from unauthorized access , disclosure, modification, destruction, or interference in accordance with ISMS policies
- Maintains availability, confidentiality, and integrity of documents
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- License Required: Registered Electrical/Registered Mechanical Engineer
- With 2-4 years' experience in fuel oil power generation; Experience requirement may be reduced for individuals with an advanced technical or business degree, or registration as a professional engineer.
- With exposure to plant information systems, performance monitoring software application.
- At least 2 years' of leadership experience
