We are seeking a highly motivated and well-rounded Sr. Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) to join our growing finance team. This highly visible position will report directly to the CFO and play a crucial role in shaping and executing the company’s financial strategy. What does a day in the life of a Sr. Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) look like?
Financial Modeling:
- Own and maintain the company’s financial model, including the Profit & Loss (P&L), Balance Sheet (BS), and Cash Flow (CF) statements.
- Ensure the model's accuracy, relevance, and applicability across all areas of the business.
- Lead the monthly forecasting process by working closely with functional group leaders to gather insights on vendors, customers, contracts, and strategic initiatives.
- Manage the development and execution of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and perform monthly variance analysis to assess performance.
Data Analysis:
- Analyze and work with diverse data sets, connecting insights across various sources to provide comprehensive financial analysis.
- Identify trends, variances, and opportunities by "connecting the dots" between data sources to drive business decisions.
Month-End Close Process:
- Support the month-end close process by reviewing and ensuring the correct booking and classification of expenses.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure consistency in financial reporting and integrity.
Ad-Hoc Financial Analysis:
- Partner with leaders across the organization to provide ad-hoc financial analysis that supports strategic business decisions.
- Contribute to the Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) process by providing financial insight and support during due diligence and integration phases.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Communicate key financial insights and their business implications to senior management and stakeholders.
- Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable information that informs decision-making across the organization.
What are the required qualifications for a Sr. Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)?
- 5+ years experience similar role
- Experience in services-based businesses.
- Familiarity with Sage Intacct or similar financial systems.
- Experience working in a multi-entity, multi-currency, and international/multinational organization.
- Background in BPO/outsourcing industries.
- Advance knowledge in MS Excel/Google sheet
Nice to Have:
- CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) Certification.
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation.
