JOB SUMARRY:
In accordance with the policies, procedure and standards of Chroma Hospitality, Inc. and Crimson Resort & Spa, Mactan, under the supervision of the Manager of Catering Sales, the Banquet Sales Executive is responsible for selling the Hotel in active support of the rooms and catering merchandising efforts. This position requires active participation in the direct sales effort with focus on market priorities under the guidance and supervision of the Banquet Sales Manager. JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Establishes and maintains close contact with assigned accounts and target accounts through sales call, phone calls, tours, appointments, correspondence, emails and entertainment.
- Assesses their current and future needs and prospects to uncover other decision makers or reservation makers.
- Qualifies business from in-house sources by meeting with guests at social hours, breakfasts, etc.
- Documents weekly prospecting activities on the Sales Report.
- Conducts direct selling activities in accordance with assigned sales activity and catering goals for new and current accounts.
- Competition analysis
- Develop and manage catering sales revenue and operation budgets, and provide forecasting reports.
- Facilitates the execution of the approved Banquet Sales Plan.
- Develops and ensures implementation of promotions, marketing and advertising activities to drive catering sales goals.
- Handles incoming telephone calls.
- Handles incoming & outgoing correspondence of designated Events Managers.
- Responsible for assisting the managers in typing / filing correspondence such as proposals, Letters of Agreement, Banquet Event Orders, Group Resumes, Thank You letters, Post Event Summary, etc.
- Handles photocopying and distribution of all correspondence such as memos, Banquet Event Orders, Letters of Agreement, Group Information Sheet (GIS), etc. to concerned departments.
- Prepares and distributes group profile outlining in house arrangements, etc., latest 3 days prior to first arrival.
- Maintains and updates Conventions summary to include all tentative definite bookings and distributes to all departments concerned not later than the 5th of every month. Issues revisions as the need arises.
- Prepares and distributes the 10-day banquet event summary every Thursday and a 3-day summary daily. Disseminates any updates needed.
- Updates the Group Chart weekly and prepares Lost Business report.
- Prepares Requests for Payment of event summary every Thursday and a 3-day summary daily. Disseminates any updates needed.
