Category Manager - W Department Store
The Category Manager for W Department Store is responsible in managing and developing assigned category to ensure that over all company set objectives are achieved. S/he is responsible to generate and deliver committed sales target, margin target, maintain inventory levels, planogram management and maintain good working relationship with co-employees and respective vendors.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible in managing and developing assigned category
- Ensuring category sales targets, margins, and other income are achieved
- Ensuring all Ps (Product, Place, Price, Promo, People, Process) are in place
- Identifying possible opportunities and implementing programs to develop the category
- and improve business performance
- Conduct market research initiatives and reviews competitors pricing & margins
- Manage to do store check & visit, and product inventory.
- Building win-win partnerships with suppliers/vendors
Qualifications
- Graduate of a business-related course or equivalent
- With 3 - 5 years experience as Category Manager from any Retail/FMCG business
- Should have unquestionable integrity
- Great negotiation, interpersonal, communications and presentation skills
- Proficient at evaluating current business retail practice
- In-depth knowledge of marketing and sales operations and processes
- Ability to think from a customer perspective and understand buying behavior
