Key responsibilities
- Assist construction team in all HSE matters & HSE-related regulatory matters on compliance to ensure their statutory duties, particularly in the area of identification of workplace safety and health and environmental risks and in recommending and implementation of the necessary control measures are being carried out.
- Assist in the implementation of HSE Plans, with the principal objective of establishing an HSE mindset at the project site with guided ENGIE Corporate HSE strategies.
- Review & implement ENGIE Group HSE Management system, work conditions and practices, identifying HSE related risks and optimize work processes / equipment utilization to minimize risk.
- Assist SB-1 Site manager to lead and monitor all works carried out for the project to ensure regulatory compliance with the HSE rules regulation, system compliance, specific
- Review and implement effective project’s emergency response plans, procedures and monitor the Implementation of emergency preparedness drill training at project site.
- Assist to liaise with external parties and government bodies on HSE related matters.
- Notify and investigate any accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational diseases, poisoning and near miss incidents or health and environment related complaints and establish the incident investigation report for submission within the required period & follow up on corrective actions taken to prevent recurrence of accidents/ incidents.
- Drive execution of incidents investigation using a structured process to identify/ record root causes/ ‘Lessons Learnt’ to prevent future recurrence(s).
- Communicate findings, concerns, and deficiencies to the responsible managers to resolve timely all necessary corrections. Assist in the development and implementation of strategic solutions that will support management's efforts to improve and maintain compliance as required.
- Monitoring & supports project administration, eg monthly HSE statistics, audits & KPIs for the measurement of the organization’s HSE performance.
- Assist to Identify and maintain regular stakeholder engagement plans, detailing channel, frequency, and records for each stakeholder group.
- Report on carbon emissions and emission avoidance of SB-1 to GBU CSR and HSE Teams, using the framework given by the GBU.
- Ensure all project applicable ESG requirements are identified, implemented & reported effectively as per the lenders & group requirements.
- Keep abreast of relevant changes in health and safety legislation that may affect the project and communicate this to the project/ entity.
- Interface with the project staff and HSE line & office staff to ensure consistent and effective application of the safety rules, ensuring best practice at the project.
- Promote a positive health & safety culture and continuous improvement throughout project stakeholders including contractors & sub-contractors.
- Ensure all group requirements are met at project like- ENGIE H&S group rules, One Safety Program initiatives, etc. in guidance to HSE line.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety, OR Degree in Engineering related with at least 5 years of relevant Environmental, Health & Safety working experience. Construction experience is preferred.
- Experience over 3 to 5 years of relevant Environmental, Health and Safety working experience. Construction experience is preferred.
- Should have 40 hours Bureau-prescribed training and certification in BOSH & COSH
- SO3, LCM, TOT, HIRAC is an advantage
- NEBOSH IGC as minimum
- Must possess communicative, active personality, team leader & coaching spirit person and result driven
- Additional knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) would be an advantage
Note: This is a project-based position located in Pampanga. The project duration is 2 years.
