We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented individual to join our team as IT Service Management Engineer In this role, you will implement IT service management (ITSM) frameworks and tools to enhance system reliability and manage incidents effectively. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and ensure alignment with standard procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Implement ITSM frameworks and tools such as ServiceNow and ITIL for effective incident, change, and service management
- Enhance system reliability through monitoring, alerting, and incident management processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve production issues efficiently
- Monitor production jobs, troubleshoot issues, send out communications, and ensure alignment with standard procedures
- Provide recommendations to improve IT service management processes and practices
Qualifications:
- Experience in ITSM, site reliability engineering (SRE), or related fields
- Focus on DevOps and production support
- Proficiency in ITSM tools like ServiceNow and ITIL processes
- Experience in DevOps practices, monitoring tools, and incident management
- Proficiency in running and writing shell scripting languages for batch execution
- Excellent analytical and communication skills to clearly communicate incident details to stakeholders
- Experience in production support and application performance optimization
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and infrastructure as code (IaC)
- Familiarity with basic SQL and Linux commands
- Curiosity and attention to detail
- Ability to follow and adhere to documented processes, with bonus points for the ability to set up, design, put together, and roll out operational processes
- Knowledge of shell scripting, expected to run scripts but not create or develop them (nice to have)
- Knowledge of Control-M is a bonus but not mandatory (nice to have)
