Job Responsibilities

  • Administer email and collaboration services (MS Lync, MS Exchange, Box, WebEx, etc.)
  • Administer malware protection environment to ensure laptops/desktops are secure
  • Administer endpoint encryption environment
  • Administrate the desktop client management tools (SCCM)
  • Create, maintain, and execute desktop and laptop IMAC processes (install, move, add, and change)
  • Design, implement, package, and distribute end-user software/hardware Evaluate, test, patch, and upgrade OS, desktop apps, malware definition, hardware, etc.
  • Troubleshoot, test, and resolve complex end-user technical issues/problems, ranging from software (Windows, Mac, etc.) and hardware (laptop, desktop, accessories, etc.
  • Maintain system availability. Record and manage changes and incident response.
  • Administer VMware in an enterprise server, desktop and application virtualization environment
  • Analyze, log, track and resolve complex software/hardware matters of significance pertaining to networking connectivity issues, printer, servers, and applications to meet business needs.
  • Coordinate hardware/software installations and upgrades to ensure work is properly performed in accordance with company policy. Recommend resolution to complex matters of significance and coordinate the implementation of the approved course of action.
  • Coordinate and monitor troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose common system problems; documents system events to ensure continuous functioning. Recommend course of action and implements as approved.
  • Oversee the installation of client department-specific applications and systems. Ensure installations are in accordance with appropriate operating procedures; determine revisions or updates to installation as needed.
  • Coordinate testing, upgrades and configuration of system files and services. Ensure changes are in accordance with appropriate operating procedures; recommend revisions or changes based upon results. Prepare for and prescribes approaches to possible downstream implications.
  • Utilize standard tools to record change and problem activities for tracking purposes.

Skills, Licenses, Knowledge, Education And Training Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows based operating systems to include servers and workstations, possess expertise using Microsoft Office Products
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy Objects (GPO),DHCP, DNS
  • Knowledge of MS Exchange 2010
  • Knowledge of PowerShell Scripting is a plus
  • Bachelor"s degree or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years relevant experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • ITIL certification preferred
  • Attendance and schedule adherence are requirements of this position
  • Ability to walk, bend and lift equipment up to 50 pounds and engage in labor related duties of connecting computer equipment, and climbing up and down stairs and ladders
  • Knows and applies fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of particular field of specialization
  • May develop advanced skills using tools and equipment appropriate for the position or specialization
  • Using established procedures and working under immediate supervision, performs assigned tasks
  • Work is routine and instructions are usually detailed
  • Resolves routine questions and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher levels
