As a Logistics Coordinator and Production Support, you are responsible for:
- Coordinate all inbound and outbound shipments from suppliers, ensuring on-time delivery and minimal disruptions
- Work closely with our freight forwarder to optimise shipping routes and costs
- Track shipments and provide regular updates to relevant stakeholders
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with import regulations.
- Verify stock received at against purchase orders to ensure correct quantities and items delivered, escalate any discrepancies to production team
- Update and maintain accurate landed costings for all shipments + analysis on PO’s
- Coordinate quality control (QC) with factories to ensure product compliance with specifications
- Coordinate and lodge faulty claims with suppliers, ensuring timely resolution
- Work with the production team to identify and escalate any quality issues
- Review faulty stock from sales teams returns, identifying trends and escalating persistent issues to the production team
- Maintain QC documentation and report any recurring issues to key stakeholders
- Identify opportunities to improve inbound logistics processes and increase efficiency
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, freight forwarders and internal teams
- Analyse logistics, QC and stock accuracy data to provide insights for decision making
- Support cost control initiatives by monitoring freight spend and identifying cost-saving opportunities
- Experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
- Experience working with freight forwarders and warehouse operations
- Proficiency in inventory management systems and logistics software
- Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements for international shipments
- Knowledge of freight, shipping, and customs processes
- Experience in quality control or product inspection is an advantage
