Quality Assurance Specialist

Universal Robina Corporation is looking for a QA Specialist.
The QA Specialist will ensure that released products conform to the company's quality and food safety standards. This role involves conducting physico-chemical analysis, investigating quality incidents, analyzing process data, leading projects, and managing digital solutions to uphold the highest product quality and safety standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct physico-chemical analysis of finished goods to ensure that released products conform to the quality and food safety standards set by the company.
- Perform process monitoring to ensure that manufacturing follows the standard set by the organization
- Ensure that non-conforming and potentially unsafe products are properly handled in accordance to the set protocol.
- Analyze process control and test results data using statistical tools to evaluate process behavior and performance.
- Prepare and submit regular quality reports to management.
- Collect samples for microbiological analysis to monitor and ensure product safety.
- Conduct retention samples evaluation and analyze the results.
- Lead the Plant QFS team in the IPMS (Initiative and Project Management System) for project qualification steps, including new product development, reformulations, and improvement initiatives.
- Conduct validation studies for new procedures, alternative test methods, and equipment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Chemical engineering, Food Technology, and other allied field.
- Must be a licensed chemist or chemical technician
- Minimum of 2-year experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
- Preferably knowledgeable with quality assurance and food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with statistical tools and data analysis.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lead and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency with digital solutions (e.g., LIMS, SAP QM) and computer software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
