Successful candidate will be responsible for the overall business development on renewable wind and geothermal exploration/growth market segments, proposing and implementing the complete marketing & commercial strategy and the related business plan to develop business opportunities.

The Role

  • Evaluates new business proposals and lead/participate in the development of complex new business ventures
  • Identifies and analyzes potential wind and geothermal energy projects and competitors through market research
  • Initiates and drives technical, financial, legal business developments
  • Leads team to interpret and audit financial models of opportunities, conduct sensitivities and produce key financial ratios
  • Ensures compliance with all applicable regulations, environmental standards, and safety protocols during project development and operation
  • Oversees due diligence transaction and execution process
  • Reviews or evaluates proposals or bids to make recommendations regarding awarding of contracts
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective equipment procurement
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams in the preparation of renewable energy project proposals, statement of qualifications, requests for quotations and pricing, and other marketing collateral from concept through completion

The Individual

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field
  • 5-10 years of experience in business development or a related field, with a focus on renewable energy projects (wind and geothermal)
  • Strong strategic planning and commercial acumen in energy sector markets
  • Ability to interpret financial models and assess project viability through key financial ratios and sensitivity analysis
  • Excellent understanding of regulatory compliance, permitting, and due diligence processes in renewable energy
  • Proficient in contract management, including evaluation of proposals and managing vendor/supplier relationships
  • Willing to be based in Makati City (7 a.m. to 4 p.m.)
