- Process Bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and/or monthly payroll for North American employees using the ADP payroll system.
- Verify and enter employee data, including hours worked, new hires, terminations, and changes in pay rates and deductions.
- Ensure accurate calculations for regular and overtime hours, bonuses, commissions, and other compensation components.
- Review timekeeping records and resolve discrepancies with relevant departments.
- Prepare and submit payroll-related reports to management and finance as required.
- Stay updated on federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations, ensuring compliance in all payroll processes.
- Handle payroll inquiries from employees, addressing issues related to pay, taxes, and deductions in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to reconcile payroll-related accounts and address any discrepancies.
- Process employee benefit deductions, garnishments, and other payroll deductions accurately.
- Assist in year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing and reconciliation.
- Maintain payroll records and ensure data confidentiality and security.
- Participate in payroll system upgrades and testing, ensuring smooth implementation.
- Provide exceptional customer service to employees and other stakeholders regarding payroll matters.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in payroll processing, preferably using ADP Workforce Now or ADP Enterprise HR.
- Strong proficiency in using payroll software and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve complex payroll issues.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer-service-oriented approach.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with utmost discretion.
- Experience with multi-state payroll and Canadian payroll is a plus.
