Universal Robina Corporation is looking for a Production Technician.

The Production Technician, operates and maintains specific machine/s assigned to him through the Equipment Ownership (EO) program by following standard operating procedures and ensuring that it is in good running condition through the Basic Equipment Care (BEC) methodology. Responsible for producing goods within standard specifications by following the equipment centerlines at the right time at a minimum cost.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Operates the machine/s in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures and applies the Run-To-Target methodology by following all centerlines for equipment operation settings.
  • On-line QC and checks in- process / finished product specifications on the required frequency to ensure good quality products.
  • Conducts daily inventory of raw, packaging, cleaning materials, consumables, and finished goods depending on machine being operated.
  • Performs corrective maintenance in case of machine breakdown and ensure to bring back in normal operating condition.
  • Prepares and checks quality of all the materials needed for the scheduled operation. Facilitates processes in material requisition, inventory and quality-checking of materials needed for operation.
  • Cleans, sanitizes and prepares the machine/s and surrounding area before operations in accordance with standard cleaning and start-up procedures. Adheres to established Daily Cleaning Standards for equipment.
  • Accomplishes and signs production reports (forms and logbooks) and inventory reports. Uses available technology to document and reflect material usages, equipment stoppages.
  • Reports all matters affecting machine operation and product quality to Production Supervisor. Notify the Production Supervisor and In-line QA Analyst of any issues related to raw or packaging materials, work-in-progress items, finished goods specifications, as well as deviations in CCP/OPRP observed on the production line.

Qualifications

  • Must be a graduate of Engineering or any 2 yrs. vocational technical course.
  • Can operate machine preferably with at least two years' experience and knowledge in production and maintenance functions in a food manufacturing set-up.
  • Preferably with intermediate knowledge on pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical elements, operating Human Machine-Interface (HMI), heat exchangers, pumps and motors, drive systems, electrical systems.
