Description
The Team Manager will be responsible for all team members and will keep management informed on team performance. They will be in charge of training, provision of feedback, and monitoring and tracking all projects and the quality of the team and its external resources. They will act proactively to ensure smooth team operations and effective collaboration and lead by setting a good example and engaging the team to achieve goals.
Responsibilities
1. Quality Control
- Ensures timely delivery and quality of the files
- Conduct quality checks to identify and correct errors in subtitles, such as but not limited to guideline errors, consistency issues, unnecessary additions or omissions, and timing issues.
- Ensure the deliverables meet the client's specs and provide any necessary feedback to each of the linguists.
- Track the redelivery rate of the team and analyze the areas of improvement that need to be made.
2. Team Management
- Monitor team performance and make a comprehensive report on metrics, project volume, margin, profit, and loss
- Oversee day-to-day operations and offer solutions to meet the required client satisfaction
- Determines internal team’s capacity and assists with schedule management
- Prepares and implements workflows applicable to the project and team
- Conduct training and provide feedback/coaching both internally and externally
- Check and validate client rejections and coordinate with the team
- Update internal guidelines and client sheets
- Build strong relationships with internal and external resources
- Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture
- Set clear team goals and ensure achievement to improve team performance
- Delegate tasks and set deadlines to appropriate team members
- Motivate team members
- Listen to team members’ feedback and resolve any issues or conflicts
- Recognize high performance and reward accomplishments
- Encourage creativity and risk-taking
- Double-check and confirm invoices from contractors, vendors, and freelancers in a timely fashion
- Assist HR with onboarding and offboarding internal resources
- Oversee proper onboarding and offboarding of external resources alongside Partner Relations Team
- Performs other function-related tasks as may be assigned from time to time

- Incorporate feedback from clients and other stakeholders to refine subtitles and improve overall quality.
4. File Management
- Organize and manage subtitle files efficiently, keeping track of versions and revisions on the professional online platform.
- Organize and manage/keep up-to-date team sheets, documents, and drives.
- Participate in testing and implementing new software; such as project management and subtitling tools
5. Client Management
- Being the main contact point for clients, capturing orders and requests, and running the subtitling projects professionally.
- Ensuring that every outcome of the team’s projects meets high-quality standards while achieving the sales target of Bespoke Lab at the same time.
- Implementing client service strategies on a local basis to improve sales while maintaining the client satisfaction rate.

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's / College Degree in Advertising, Journalism, Linguistics, Mass Communications, or its equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in the subtitling industry and having senior role experience is a must
- A degree in Management or training in team leading is a plus
- Fluent in English both in written and spoken
- Highly analytical and meticulous
- Able to work under pressure and with minimal supervision
- A good mentor to inspire positive work output
- Amenable to a hybrid setup and shifting schedule
