Description

The Network Operations Engineer will support and maintain the Local and Wide-area networks. With the team, the role-holder will take ownership of the full lifecycle of Network Operations ensuring business needs are met and the Firm's information assets are secured and protected as per the ISMS standards. Some specific responsibilities and functions include the administration, analysis, design, installation, maintenance, operation, documentation, and planning of infrastructure and networks.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the firm’s network infrastructure
  • Maintain network hardware in an operational condition as mandated by internal and external SLAs
  • Remediate incidents within defined Service Level Agreement guidelines
  • Monitor internal and external compliance within the Firm's information security policies and procedures as described in ISMS: identify non-compliant practices and rectify
  • Perform performance assessments and generally monitor network performance to establish and improve internal and external service level agreements
  • Maintain the Firm's network-related information repositories
  • Perform other relevant functions and tasks as assigned by the Network Operations Supervisor and Global Network Manager

Skills And Experience

  • Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Network+ or applicable experience operating a large enterprise network
  • Routing and switching experience in Campus and Data Center networks including L2/L3 troubleshooting, BGP, OSPF
  • Able to configure and operate industry-leading next-generation firewall devices including Palo Alto and Cisco Firepower
  • Able to gather and analyze facts, draw conclusions, define problems and suggest solutions
  • Excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to multitask, problem solve and liaise at various levels within and outside the organization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiar with network automation and configuration management tools
