The Opportunity:
ECI has an exciting opportunity for a Purchasing Specialist, who will act as the point person to receive all company purchases and notify internal parties of deliveries. He/she will provide equipment quotes and pre-sale support to our Client Success Managers, Service Technicians and Project Managers.
In this role, you will keep track of all in-stock inventories, maintain licensing and hardware renewal processes, maintain the status of all clients returns and generate reports. Also, coordinate and interact with vendors and manufacturers on a number of projects and programs.
This is an onsite role.

What you will do:
- Receives delivered purchases in Microsoft Dynamics
- Provides tracking/shipping support utilizing both internal and external contacts
- Maintains vendor relationships and communications on a daily basis
- Maintains client license and software information in ConnectWise
- Processes RMA’s from clients and ECI
- Provides updates on all open purchase orders to client relation managers and project managers
- Distributes deliveries to service technicians and client relation managers
- Prepares system configurations and quotations in internal and 3rd party systems
- Provides pre-sale support utilizing both internal and external contacts
- Processes deal registrations with vendors and manufacturers
- Provides timely and accurate reports on renewals, quote status, and inventory levels
- Submits requests to vendors for quotes
- Meets with existing and potential vendors
- BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 2 years of direct work experience in a purchasing capacity
- Exposure to supply chain/procurement operations preferred
- Must have or develop a thorough understanding of ECI and vendor sales process
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
- Ability to provide knowledge transfer through publication, peer collaboration, and
- in/formal training delivery
- Ability to work in an independent environment with moderate supervision
- Strong verbal, listening and written communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Ability to adapt to change quickly and easily
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Sharp attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively with various computer systems. This position requires a heavy
- use of our internal software packages: Microsoft Dynamics, ConnectWise, Excel
- spreadsheets as well as distributor websites.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel
- Knowledge of computer terminology
- Prior experience in supply chain/procurement operations
