Research Manager
The Research Manager (RM) is responsible for managing and executing the Center’s day-to-day operations, including research, information dissemination, writing of project proposals and reports, and organizing events. The RM is also responsible for managing the Center’s revenues and expenses, and ensuring that all activities and expenditures align with approved budgets. In support of the Executive Director, the RM provides leadership and technical guidance to other researchers employed by the Center in producing high quality policy papers and journal articles. The RM is also responsible for fostering relationships with partners and donors.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Exercise general supervision over the administration of the Center’s operations including budget and revenue management.
- Supervise the Center’s staff with a direct reporting line, as assigned by the Executive Director
- Prepare proposals and manage projects under the programs of the Center, as instructed by the Executive Director and in consultation with concerned institutional partners
- Improve efficiency of internal processes/operations within the Center
- Elevate the quality of research by producing internationally publishable papers independently or working with other researchers of the Center.
- Assist the Executive Director in liaising with partners and donors.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: At least a Master’s degree in any discipline
Minimum Experience: At least five (5) years overall work experience preferably related to research
