Do you want to help us build the DNA of Tech.? Vishay Taguig is currently seeking applicants for R&D Engineer position, that will be responsible for researching, developing, and testing new products, processes, technologies and improving existing products and processes. Also responsible for supporting the on-time introduction of new products in coordination with VPI cross-functional team based on agreed schedules, yield, productivity, and capital investment focusing on the design and development of front-of-line assembly process solutions as required for new packages/devices under development. This position provides strong presence in the whole operations with the opportunity to create real impact within the organization and build a promising career.

This number is constantly growing due to our expansion plans. The plant manufactures Optoelectronics. The Vishay Philippines‘ Optoelectronic product line includes a diverse range of advanced technologies in more than 22 package types, from the water sawing up to testing, package development, and product reliability testing and failure analyses.

What You Will Be Doing
- Provide inputs to product package design
- Prepare and deliver assembly process development activities timing plan.
- Perform process design and development for new product.
- Perform product and process characterization.
- Provide inputs to APQP process and PPAP documentation.
- Perform process and product orientation and training to employees prior to transfer of newly developed product to manufacturing.
- Coordinates with Production, QA, Process Eng’g, Planning, Maintenance within the business unit and other support groups.
- Perform other tasks as required.
- Supports the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) Code of Conduct.
- Assists and supports the Company’s health and safety programs.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- At least 2 years experience in process engineering or any other related fields.
- Knowledgeable on APQP and PPAP
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong technical and mathematical skills
- With specialization in FMEA, Project Management, and conducts product & process characterization.
- Good communication skills and interpersonal relations
- Computer literate
