Ghost Sherpa?!
Hear from our founder about his founder journey and vision for Ghost Sherpa.
Since 2020, Ghost Sherpa has been a successful design company that serves US-based marketing agencies and in-house marketing teams with fast, affordable, senior-level graphic design support. Our 100+ person team is fully remote and hails from North, Central, and South America, Africa, Europe, and Asia, and maybe soon we’ll adopt a penguin and koala and be on every continent! We believe in putting people before profit and building a culture that values quality of life, truth telling, kindness, and work well done.
What’s the purpose of the role?
Ghost Sherpa, a US-based design company, is looking for a Vehicle Wrap Designer with a keen understanding of pre-press guidelines, production processes, and who thrives in a fast-paced, yet friendly environment.
What will I be doing?
- You’ll conceptualize and execute visual design for vehicle wraps on Adobe Illustrator.
- You’ll prepare print-ready files according to established specifications.
- You’ll conduct quality control over your own work.
- You’ll work with photo editors to make sure that vehicle templates are accurate.
- You’ll coordinate with the client and internal team using Hubspot and Asana.
- You’ll make sure that project assets are organized, updated, and complete.
What are my deliverables?
A Vehicle Wrap Designer is responsible for the end-to-end creation of custom wrap designs tailored to client specifications and vehicle specifications. The designer must ensure the designs are print-ready, considering color management, resolution, and material specifications to achieve the desired outcome.
What experience do I need to succeed?
- You can render at least 40 hours of work a week
- You have at least 5 years of graphic design experience (vehicle wrap design experience is a plus)
- You can follow creative briefs.
- You’re proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop
- You have a fast and stable internet connection (50 mbps)
- You have a machine that can handle large file sizes (refer to “Recommended Specs” below for more detail)
- You have a functioning webcam for video calls.
What skills do I need to succeed?
- Fluent in English, written and spoken, is a must.
- Solid auto management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Be a team player.
- Be willing to grow and learn continuously.
- You’re a quick and resourceful learner with great initiative and problem-solving skills.
- You have excellent attention to detail and can quality check your own work.
What recommended specs do I need?
If your computer can handle editing on Premiere Pro, it can probably handle wrap design.
Project files tend to be resource-intensive, as we deal in complex large-format vector graphics that need to be periodically synced to the cloud.
Minimum:
- Video Card: At least GTX 16 or RX580 series
- RAM: 16 GB
- CPU: Intel 10th gen or AMD Ryzen 2nd gen series
Software
The company will provide Adobe Creative Cloud access when the training period ends. Until then, trainees are expected to manage their own access.
