ACCOUNTING MANAGER
Location: Greenhouse Facility, San Rafael, Bulacan
Employment Type: Full-Time
Job Summary:
The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial health of Metro Pacific Fresh Farms by planning, organizing, leading, and controlling accounting functions. The role ensures compliance with financial regulations, manages financial reports, oversees external relations, and implements effective accounting policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management:
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor financial activities including consolidation, analysis, and recording of financial transactions.
- Analyze and provide recommendations based on financial reports.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial reports to management.
- Books of Accounts & Accounting Records Monitoring:
- Ensure accurate recording of transactions in books of accounts.
- Approve check and journal vouchers for data reliability.
- Maintain and update subsidiary ledgers.
- Analyze and review general ledger accounts and approve necessary adjustments.
Accounting Policies & Asset Management:
- Develop and implement accounting controls and procedures.
- Ensure company assets and properties are protected through accurate valuation, materialization, and depreciation records.
Audit & Government Compliance:
- Oversee yearly audit preparation and address critical audit issues.
- Ensure timely compliance and submission of government reports (BIR, SEC, NTC, LGUs, etc.).
- Coordinate with external auditors, banks, business partners, and government agencies.
Leadership & Management:
- Develop departmental goals and budgets aligned with business objectives.
- Manage staffing, performance standards, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Provide training, coaching, and mentorship to accounting staff.
- Facilitate department meetings and participate in company management discussions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and provide disciplinary action when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required
- 4-5 years of managerial experience in accounting
- Strong knowledge of Accounting Principles, Taxation, and Labor Laws
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
- Proficient in automated accounting systems
Preferred Training & Certifications:
- Latest BIR Rulings / PICPA Continuing Education
- Relevant courses in accounting, taxation, and financial management
Work Environment:
Primarily office-based with occasional travel to affiliate offices and government agencies.
