As a Senior Scrum Master, you will be responsible for guiding and coaching multiple Agile teams in Scrum practices, ensuring the effective implementation of Agile methodologies. You will play a crucial role in facilitating communication, removing impediments, and driving team success in delivering high-value products
We are looking for someone with:
- At least 5-7 years with experience as a Scrum Master delivering complex technology solutions with a University Degree or College diploma
- Strong working knowledge of key aspects of agile coaching and facilitation
- Staying abreast of developments in own technical discipline and able to recognize and translate these to own working environment
- Experience in handling squads involving stakeholders from multiple locations
- Any of the following will be an advantage:
- Agile methodology certifications (CSM, CSPO, SAFe, LeSS, etc)
- Insurance Industry experience
- ITIL Certification
- Working knowledge of business intelligence, business process, and/or correspondence management platforms and integrating systems via API/web services.
- Knowledge of Agile planning and tracking tools
- Good verbal and written communication; able to effectively articulate technical vision, possibilities, and outcomes
On the job you will:
- Coaches and supports 1-2 Development teams
- Provides direction/mentorship to Scrum Masters
- Coaches different levels of hierarchy through agile principles & practices
- Proactively provides real-time feedback to keep delivery on track and address issues as they arise
- Reinforces target agile behaviors
- Facilitates the adoption of agile principles & practices
- Helps educate the squad on Agile practices and identifies Agile Team improvement opportunities
- Focuses squads on value creation
- Facilitates and actively participates in Agile events, workshops and townhalls
- Identifies obstacles to team/s performance; facilitates resolution and escalates where necessary
- Guides and empower the flow of a cross-functional feature team, providing a clear view of success and removing obstacles towards that end
- Provides continual visibility into feature delivery, ensuring the right people are engaged at the right time
- Collaborates with software engineers, platform engineers, Product Owners, and engineering leadership to uncover pain points and opportunities to accelerate the delivery of new value through software
- Actively participates in sprints and partners with Product Owners to enable the delivery of prioritized features
- Acts as a servant leader to the team
